My friend Twila and I were having lunch at Farmer Boys a Monday afternoon in January and Twila ordered pancakes. The waitress served strawberry jam with her meal.
Twila did not use the jam but saved the packets. Later on when I was going to my car, Twila hands me the packet of strawberry jam, smiles and says:
“Here, keep it.”
I laughed, thanked her and put the packet in my purse.
She laughed back and said,
“You’ll understand.”
I looked up at her intrigued. After a pause she continues,
“Grape Jelly is common in PB&Js, Orange Jam is taken by the mafia, but people forget about Strawberry Jelly. You don’t see Starwberry Jelly too often.
Strawberry Jelly…That’d be a great name for a blog.”
